Some things don’t need to make sense for you to enjoy them. That’s what I’m finding out as I look through the drawings of Hatice Çiçek, a doodler from Istanbul. It’s a wild world of illustrated madness. Her drawings are rough and meandering, often leaving no space wasted on the page. The cartoonish style looks elementary at a glance, but that’s a deceptive simplicity. The warped, trippy composition of Çiçek’s sketches creatively weaves together a crazy amount of lines and patterns when you really look at it!
