Sky is a Bowl

I can't recall exactly how I came to find Miguel's work…but I know that once I found it I immediately bookmarked it so I would always be able to go back to it. The playful nature in the forms, the way he interpreted movements, expressions and colors grabbed me instantly and set into motion my imagination.

Having become friends with Miguel I can see a lot of his heritage fused into his playful drawings. Each line has a purpose, every character is loose and full of life. It's such a rarity to find artists / illustrators / designers who throw care to the wind and let there hands do the talking and who are excited about sharing / creating.

Miguel is all of these things and more. An enthusiast, a hustler, an artist and someone I am very proud to call my friend. By day you can find him illustrating for The Bold Italic based out of San Francisco and by night you can find him doing freelance work that recently landed him in Computer Arts magazine. An accomplishment that I personally think is well deserved.

Check out his work and be sure to bookmark it so we can watch all the amazing things he is doing together!
