High or Low

For my first post on DA I wanted to share some of the influences that got me going back when I was a 'fine' artist...It's not necessarily work that your average doodler might come across so I thought it'd be great to show some influential high/low art crossover work from the last 40 years. I think there's a tendency to see 'high brow' art as a million miles away from the kind of freestyle doodling we do - I'm hoping this work might go some way to proving otherwise :) If you haven't seen these 'fine art' guys before, I hope you love them as much as I do.

Up until recently I was lucky enough to be working in a place that had a Mike Kelley piece hanging in the lobby.
