Drawing From Life

Drawing From Life: The Journal as Art is a book that celebrates the journal as humble tools, beautiful objects in and of themselves. No two are ever alike. Rather than describe the day, they are often made from it. Lyle Owerko, a commercial photographer, is featured in the book. He went on a yearlong journey to Africa and used his journal to capture the experience.

Jamie! I am so glad you posted about this book. I bought it a few years ago and it is still one of my favorite. I get lost looking through the pages. Thanks for the reminder to get it out of my library again.

Ah, nice, I'm glad. It's one of my favorite books too.
